He accused his parents as well as his brother of mental torture and harassment over his inter-caste marriage. He also revealed that he and his partner Ritika have parted ways. On being diagnosed with a brain tumour at the age of 14
Anurag shared an emotional video where he spoke about his recent struggles. In the video, he also mentioned how he was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 14 and faced pressure from his family over his studies and more. He said that he has always put his parents’ needs above his own. Anurag mentioned how he tried to fulfil his parents’ dreams and yet faced many problems.
Being depressed for the past 8 months
The Bigg Boss 17 fame shared, “Over the last few months, meri life itni drastically change hui hai ki maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki zindagi aise patak ke chhoregi (My life changed drastically; I never thought life would throw me down like this and leave me shattered).” He also spoke about being depressed for the past eight months.
How his parents refused to attend his wedding
He also alleged that just six days before his wedding, his parents refused to attend, and he had to manage everything on his own. Anurag shared, “Mere se haath judwayege, pair padwayege. Mere se sorry bulwaya gaya saare relatives ke saamne. Papa aur Mumma ne iss level tak torture kiya ki bola ki naa hum khush rahenge naa tujhe khush rehne denge (I was made to fold my hands and beg, made to touch their feet. I was forced to apologise in front of all the relatives. Dad and Mum tortured me to the extent that they said, ‘We will neither stay happy ourselves nor let you stay happy’).
